Steps of a Southwestern Advantage Summer
We have compiled the various steps of a summer with Southwestern Advantage. This list represents the main steps of Southwestern Advantage Summer Internship Program and is in the approximate order they would happen. It is general, but provides you with an idea of timeline and what to expect.
- Attend information session
- 1st & 2nd day interview sessions
- Congratulations! You’ve been selected.
- Parent Support Letter/Letter of Endorsement = receive training materials
- Meetings on campus
- Parent Coffee & Production seminar
- Leave for Nashville/Edinburgh
- Arrive in Nashville
- Train at hotel and/or Landers Plaza (Southwestern Advantage HQ)
- Attend Sales School
- Attend organizational training
- Leave for summer community
- Move into summer host family home
- 1st week – on the job training, shadow day
- Begin selling on your own
- Attend Sunday meetings
- Attend Sunday activities
- At end of summer – receive merchandise shipment
- Make deliveries to customers you sold
- Leave for Nashville/Edinburgh for Checkout – reconcile your Southwestern Advantage account
- Return to campus
- Attend Fall Awards Banquet and Incentive Trips
